Photography has always been a passion of mine. I received my first camera before I could even write my own name. However, it wasn’t until I started college that I began to understand that it takes more than just shooting a ton of pictures to take great photographs. Photography as an art form requires creativity yes, but also an understanding of composition, framing, depth of field, lighting, exposure and detail, as well as mastering the technical skills of focus, f-stop, ISO and shutter speed. This knowledge has greatly improved my skills and offered many opportunities to learn more about experimental photography techniques both in the field, such as light writing, and in the darkroom with projects involving cyanotype and Van Dyke brown and polaroid lifts. This page is dedicated to my photographic journey thus far.
